1. Overview
This Privacy Policy describes how Healthy ("we", "our", or "us") handles, collects, and protects your data when you use our mobile application (the "App"). The App is free to use, and you can use core features without creating an account. We are committed to protecting your privacy and minimizing data collection to only what is necessary to provide the App’s functionality.
2. Information We Collect and Process
2.1 Health, Nutrition, and Personal Data (Stored in Your iCloud)
- Data types: Meal logs, custom food items, calorie/macronutrient targets, body weight, body fat percentage, and nutrition goals.
- Storage & sync: Your records are stored locally on your device and may be synced to your personal Apple iCloud storage using Apple’s SwiftData and CloudKit frameworks.
- Our access: We do not operate our own server for your health data and we do not have direct access to your personal iCloud account or database. Your data remains within your private Apple ecosystem.
2.2 AI Assistant Interactions (Google Gemini)
- Data types: Text queries and prompts you enter into the in-app AI Assistant.
- Processing: These requests are sent over encrypted HTTPS to Google’s Gemini API to generate recipes, nutrition insights, and personalized responses.
- PII: We do not intentionally attach personal identifiers (such as your name, email, or Apple ID) to these API requests. Please avoid entering sensitive personal information into the AI Assistant.
2.3 Purchases and Subscription Data (Apple App Store)
- Data types: Subscription status (e.g., Free vs. PRO) and transaction/receipt information.
- Processing: Purchases, free trials, and recurring payments are processed by Apple via StoreKit 2.
- Financial information: We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment card or banking details.
3. Third-Party Service Providers
We use the following third-party providers to deliver the App’s functionality:
- Apple Inc. (iCloud & App Store): iCloud sync (CloudKit) and in-app purchase processing. Data processing is governed by Apple’s policies, including Apple’s Privacy Policy.
- Google LLC (Gemini API): Processing text prompts for the AI Assistant. Data processing is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy and applicable AI/API terms.
